– One of the odder clauses to come out of stuff … The intended meaning may well seem obvious to you, but imagine me reading that sentence. Oh, the confusion!

Preaching to the Choir
There’s an ad on NZ television that says:
Ask anyone who suffers from dry cracked heels and they’ll tell you that they’re painful.
I have a few problems with this.
If I don’t know that dry cracked heels are painful, I can indeed find out they are by asking someone who suffers therefrom.
Yet, if I need to ask, I don’t know - and therefore I don’t suffer...
De Rerum Blogendo
So I’ve been a bit slack on this whole blogging front.
I will tell you some words I like:
respire
flatline
rationale
pile (as in carpet)
vehement (even when mispronounced)
expurgate
quizás
I had something good to say here, but I forgot to write it down. Apologies all round!

Reading - what not to do.
The more one reads, the sadder one gets. The more depressed.
The more the one learns not only of what’s wrong with the world, but how little can be done about it. How incorrigible it all is.
Get out as quickly as you can, And don’t have any kids yourself.

PROTEST
I’ve decided to take on a protest name.
I’m thinking Firstname Middlename Lastname.
Not a protest against any particular circumstance, just a sort of beckoning for people to consider the whole concept of the name.
(HELP IT’S HEAPS LATER THAN I ACTUALLY WROTE THIS AND I’M DRUNK. I THINK IT’S TIME TO POST THIS. SHALL I?)
How can a couple of words entirely...

Me. Or, Solipsism.
I believe that my consciousness is everything I know.
It has suited my consciousness to reveal itself gradually to itself, to gradually become self-aware.
Other people exist in my consciousness because they benefit it.
Temporal and spatial variation exist in my consciousness because they benefit it.
My consciousness is self-perpetuating.
It constantly expands.
I am everything.
Words that do what they mean i
Obfuscate.
Oh obfuscate! you do what you mean. You curl whatever comes before you into a comma of indefinition. You embiggen whatever comes after you into a not-so-mossy boulder rolling down a hill. It doesn’t get any bigger, but it gets closer and closer so it looks like it.
You give me a feeling in my gut like nothing else. I know you’re there, but I wish you weren’t, but I...
YOU ARE HERE
The Plath poem sort of sums it up. See it, and let me raise you twenty.
I figure if I’m here, I’m bored. And if you’re here, you sure as hell are. So hopefully we can find a way to interest one another and try to find land in this sea of ennui.
Think of that as my mission statement.
ENNUI

designing futures where...
